The challenge facing UNX today is to take advantage of its compelling technology (Cutting-edge Execution Management Systems, Smart Order Routing Tools and revolutionary Capital Markets Cloud) in speeding the sale and delivery of a new generation Trading System. This will require an aggressive thrust to promote and drive the acceptance of UNX's products by the marketplace both through a direct field sales organization and through strategic channel partners. The Head of Sales for Asia Pacific will report to the President and CEO and work actively with, the CTO, the head of Product Management, as well as key UNX partners, and strategic investors to implement these objectives. This position will be located in Hong Kong.
The primary responsibilities of the Head of Sales for Asia Pacific will be to aggressively distribute UNX’s full suite of products and services to enable its solution to become the leader for providing the cutting-edge trade execution management solutions necessary for sell-side and buy-side companies. The new Head of Sales must also build and manage a client facing organization that will include additional salespeople, account managers and implementation managers.
In addition, s/he will also focus on developing and expanding customer opportunities with the leading buy-side prospects for UNX products and to build a solid base of referenceability in those accounts. It is expected that this person will bring the experience of having successfully marketed trade management software to major hedge funds, asset managers and financial institutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
UNX requires the skills of a seasoned sales executive of recognized industry stature that has ten to fifteen years of sales experience with leading capital market automation software companies (a minimum of 3 years in a management capacity). This individual should be comfortable and credible in expressing the value of high performance trading technology. Examples of relevant companies in this arena would include preferably companies selling software-as-a-service products or services to buy-side and sell-side traders that served as platform or core components integrating mainstream enterprise application (preferably OMS or EMS software). Examples of appropriate products would be infrastructure software like Execution Management Systems, Order Management Systems, Portfolio Management Systems, Exchanges/ECNs, and Prime Brokerage and Straight-Through-Processing software or solutions.
The preferred profile would include experience working with both domestic and international customers. The priority skill-set requirements suggesting the suitability of an “ideal” candidate for this position would also include:
